The City
ELS/Portland is located on the lovely campus of Concordia University (CU), located less than 30 minutes away from downtown Portland using the excellent and inexpensive public transportation system. Portland has the distinction of being named Money magazine’s “Best Big City for 2000”.

Many students enjoy exploring Portland’s unique neighborhoods, including the Pearl District and Nob Hill, filled with art galleries, boutiques and trendy restaurants.
On the weekend students may take advantage of Portland’s outdoor activities including hiking, biking, skiing, kayaking and fishing in Portland’s 15,000-hectare park system.
CU is part of the Concordia University System, which includes 10 universities across the USA.
The University offers an MBA and graduate programs including Teaching English as a Second Language and Educational Leadership, as well as many undergraduate degree programs.
On-campus residence hall is available and rooms are wired for high-speed Internet access, and telephones.
